Sam Smith premiers new James Bond theme

With James Bond coming back in full force this fall , it means we’re in store for hopefully another action-packed thriller where the suave Bond coolly fights against equally suave villains, all the while having a beautiful temptress distract him along the way.

It also means we get a new a new Bond theme song. This time around the honor has been bestowed upon Sam Smith, with his new song, “Writing’s on the Wall”. He becomes one in a long list of iconic musicians to provide 007 with a theme (Paul McCartney, Shirley Bassey, Carly Simon, Adele, and more).

My personal favorites are Adele’s “Skyfall” and Gladys Knight’s “License to Kill”. What’s yours? Does Sam Smith’s Bond theme live it to the hype? Let us know.  Meanwhile check out the video for “Writing’s on the Wall” down below. It features Sam Smith singing in that oh-so sultry voice we have come to know him for, against a backdrop of British flag draped coffins and widening columns. The video also includes scenes from the upcoming film, Spectre.
